8. Job Applicants & Text Message (SMS) Communications
Who this applies to. This section applies to individuals who apply to provide independent cleaning services through The Valley Clean Team ("we," "us"), in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.
Information we collect from applicants. When you apply, we collect the information you provide — your name, business name (if any), email address, mobile phone number, city/service area, and your responses to our application and screening questions (e.g., experience, availability, transportation, work authorization, and background-check willingness). If you move forward, we also collect onboarding documents (proof of insurance, signed agreement, W-9, and background-check results from our provider).
How we use it. We use applicant information solely to evaluate your application, communicate with you about it, schedule a trial clean, complete onboarding, and — if engaged — manage our working relationship. We do not use applicant information for advertising.
Text messages (SMS). When you provide your mobile number on our application, Facebook/Instagram lead form, Indeed, or BookingKoala careers page and agree to the SMS consent statement, you consent to receive text messages from The Valley Clean Team about your application, screening, and onboarding. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and get help by replying HELP. Consenting to texts is not a condition of being hired or engaged.
We do not share your mobile information. The Valley Clean Team will not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in consent with any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. We share applicant information only with service providers that help us operate (for example, our background-check provider, our scheduling/payments platforms, and our messaging provider), and only as needed to provide those services, or where required by law. No mobile opt-in data is shared for marketing.
Retention. We keep applicant information for as long as needed to evaluate and, where applicable, maintain our working relationship, and as required by law. You may request deletion of your applicant data by contacting us at careers@thevalleycleanteam.com.
